Regina police say the death of a man in Wednesday morning’s car fire not suspicious

Regina Police say the death of a man in a burning vehicle Wednesday morning does not appear to be suspicious or criminal in nature.

Police were called to the corner of 13th Avenue East and Embury Street at about 5:30 Wednesday morning, where a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Inside of the vehicle was a man, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, Police say there is nothing in the investigation that indicates foul play, but RPS and the Coroner are still investigating.

The notifying of next of kin has completed, and police are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time.
