COVID-19 claims Raymore Summer Slam

Scratch another summer event off of Saskatchewan’s calendar. Organizers of the Raymore Summer Slam have cancelled this year’s event due to COVID-19.

The event was to go July 30-August 2.

This would have been the ninth year of the event which doubles the size of the town, located just over an hour north of Regina.

The country music festival has seen the likes of Doc Walker, Gord Bamford, Chad Brownlee and George Fox over the years.

Organizers say while unable to come through with Summer Slam this year, they intend to bring it back bigger than ever in 2021.
