Access Communications donating over $11,000 to the Food Banks of Saskatchewan

Employees at Access Communications raised over $11,000 to support the Food Banks of Saskatchewan during the pandemic.

The $11,585 raised will go towards the Food Banks of Saskatchewan’s Crisis Response Fund to help provide bulk food purchasing, food hamper delivery, and staff to coordinate efforts during COVID-19.

Communications Manager Fran Moran says that the company was rather fortunate during the pandemic., so they felt the need to help out.

“I think the employees here recognize how fortunate we’ve been to avoid layoffs during the pandemic,” said Moran. “It’s only right to support those that are less fortunate in our communities.”

Moran hopes that others will follow in their footsteps, and donate to their local food bank, if they can.

“The crisis response fund is important, and the Food Banks of Saskatchewan are doing some important work with some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Moran.

The COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund is looking to raise $6 million to contribute to critical work during the pandemic, including increased demand and new ways of distributing food.
