They are only open at 50 percent capacity and you won’t be able to play VLT’s or pool, but Saskatchewan bars and restaurants can re-open Monday as Phase 3 of the “Re-Open Saskatchewan” plan begins. Many have spent the last couple of weeks refiguring their floor space to make sure they are following the regulations set forth by the province, but some have decided to wait for a while before they do say hello to their customers again.
Besides bars and restaurants, you can get back into the gym to work off any pounds you have added during the pandemic.
If going, you should know locker rooms and showers remain closed with drinking fountains also not available.
Those taking a class must do so with certain protocols having to be followed.
Churches and child-care faciities can also re-open, but there are limitations placed on them as well.
You can also now gather in groups of up to 15 people indoors and 30 people outdoors.
While Phase 3 begins today, there is no word at this time from the province as to when Phase 4 would begin. When it does so, it will likely come in two different installments.
The first part would see things like outdoor pools and spray parks open as well as child and youth day camps. The second part would see movie theatres, bingo halls, casinos, libraries, museums and indoor pools and rinks re-open.
Last week, provincial chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab indicated it may not be until June 2021 when the fifth and final phase of the plan takes effect. That fifth phase would see all restrictions dropped.
