Police on the lookout after several firearms stolen from Regina Armoury

Regina Police and the Canadian Armed Forces military police are working together to try and locate six simulation-training rifles stolen from the Department of National Defense.

Police were called to the Regina Armoury  on the 1600 block of Elphinstone Street after a break-and-enter on June 16 where it was determined the six rifles were missing along with training rounds, magazines and two sets of binoculars.  The last confirmed physical verification of the items taken happened in March.

One of the firearms has been found in Lumsden.

Regina Police say while the firearms are modified versions of the C-7 rifle, non-operational with real ammunition, they are intended to simulate appearance, feel and function which makes it difficult to distinguish from a real firearm.
