Drivers will have to slow down when going down Wascana Parkway.
The city says the speed limit along that stretch of road, which had been 70 km/h, is being reduced to 50.
The reduction came into effect on Monday, but won’t become permanent until signs are installed.
This comes as the city announces new overhead signals will be coming in August to the intersection at 23rd Avenue and Wascana Parkway. The city says the signals will include lights to illuminate pedestrians crossing the road as it continues to improve pedestrian crossings throughout the city.”
