No charges have been laid at this time after the RCMP’s Explosives Disposal Unit responded to the call of a suspicious package in Kindersley on Monday.
Police say they responded to a call at an apartment building in Kindersley to assist with an eviction.
A 67-year-old man was escorted to hospital by crisis workers for a pre-existing condition.
RCMP members then located firearms, ammunition and a suspicious object.
That led to the call in of the Explosives Disposal Unit and an immediate evacuation of the building.
RCMP say once a thorough search of the building has been completed tenants will be allowed to return.
Police did not elaborate on the suspicious object found on the premises.
