Traffic stop on Highway 11 results in huge cocaine seizure

RCMP in Craik have seized roughly 50 kilograms of cocaine after a traffic stop on Highway #11 near Davidson last week.

On July 3rd at roughly 1:30 PM, an RCMP officer stopped a vehicle for speeding, heading north towards Saskatoon.

Officers located and seized about 50 bricks of cocaine, as well as burner phones and about $3,600 in cash.

24 year-old Jitpartap Bhatti and 30 year-old Harmdeep Sandhu, both from Brampton, Ontario, were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and possession of proceeds of crime.

Sandhu and Bhatti both appeared in court Tuesday in Moose Jaw, and will return to court on July 27th.

Craik RCMP are still investigating alongside the Federal Serious and Organized Crime Team South.
