Over 1000 claims have been submitted to SGI after storms in SW Saskatchewan this month

The southwest part of the province is still cleaning up after two powerful weather systems roared through in the last week.

Those storms, which produced three tornadoes last Saturday, are keeping SGI busy as around 12 hundred property and vehicle claims have come in.

Sully says those claims are mainly because of the hail that was received, but wind caused a lot of property damage as well with siding and shingles being damaged.

SGI`s Jennifer Sully is expecting more to be made in the upcoming days and weeks as people tally up the damage that took place.

We expect some claims will take their time in coming in. “Sully said.” People have two years to make a claim.”

Sully reminds those with vehicle and property damage that they can submit a claim online.

Appraisers will be in Assiniboia this weekend to help out with those needing assistance.
