On Thursday afternoon, around 4:10 pm, Regina Police responded to the report of a stolen vehicle from a dealership on the 1100 block of Albert Street.

At approximately 5:23 pm, police spotted the vehicle parked on the 1200 block of Argyle Street. The lone male in the vehicle was arrested by police.

The man was allegedly in possession of the keys to the vehicle, with the dealership tag still attached.

28-year-old Cody James Lerat, from Regina, has been charged with the theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,0000, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Lerat made his first appearance in court Friday morning.
