Saskatchewan’s NDP Leader wants to know why the provincial government waited until Monday to announce the spike in COVID-19 cases.
Ryan Meili says active cases more than doubled, from 43 to 90 over 3 days without a peep.
He considers this a lack of communication and says it’s unacceptable.
Meili believes Health Minister Jim Reiter has had a few communication breakdowns in the handling of the virus, which include what the NDP Leader suggests was a slow initial response and the downplaying of the La Loche outbreak.
Meili says, “Updated information should be reported daily. Period.”
