Canada/U.S. border closure expected to be extended another 30 days

According to a government source, the Canada/U.S. border will remain closed to all non-essential traffic until at least August 21st.

COVID-19 continues to spiral out of control south of the border, with over 65,000 new cases announced on Monday.

Reports say both Canada and the U.S. were in favor of the extension.

The ban on non-essential travel was first implemented back in March, and has been extended each month since.

The last extension was set to expire on July 21.

More than 3.3-million COVID-19 cases have been confirmed across the United States.
