SK surpasses 1000 cases of COVID-19 as 60 new cases are reported; 50 in the South Region

A record high number of COVID-19 cases is being reported by the province on Wednesday.

60 cases bring the provincial total to 1,030.  The 60 is the highest total the province has seen since July 16 when 42 cases were announced.

Of the 60, the province says 48 are from colonies in the southwest and west-central regions with 43 of those located in a single communal living setting in the RM of Lawtonia in the province’s southwest which includes the town of Hodgeville.  The other 12 cases come from the Saskatoon (four), Central (three), South (two), Far North (two) and North (one).

The province says there are currently 17 Hutterite communities with active cases.

Of the 1,030 reported cases, 190 are considered active.

There are 12 recoveries being announced bringing the provincial total to 825.

13 are in hospital with three of those 13 in intensive care.
