Lanigan RCMP have laid several charges related to cattle theft following a five-month long investigation at Caprina Farms and Ranching near Jansen.

RCMP from Lanigan and Alberta conducted a search on the Jansen ranch and recovered a substantial number of cattle.

59 year old Andre and Monika Ribi face charges of theft of cattle, fraudulently marketing cattle and causing animals to be in distress.

The pair are to be in Humboldt court on August 24th.

RCMP stress the importance of branding cattle for ownership identification purposes.
