Sask. man pleads guilty to 2017 Yellow Grass murder

A man from Yellow Grass has pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman in the southeast Saskatchewan community over three years ago.

Kevin Okafor pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Abbie Speir, a mother of three found dead in April 2017.

Okafor had initially been charged with first-degree murder.

Emergency crews were called to the community about 90 km southeast of Regina, on April 20th for a report of a fire, where Speir was found dead.
