Sask RCMP to launch Youth Advisory Committee

The Saskatchewan RCMP are launching their first Youth Advisory Committee.
The creation of the committee stems from a youth survey that was circulated last year across the province, which ended up receiving over 37 hundred responses from ages 12 to 17.
Laili Yazdani with the Saskatchewan RCMP says respondents identified 5 main issues that were affecting them.
“Those included drugs, bullying, alcohol, vaping, and poor driving,” said Yazdani. “About 70 percent of the comments related to an  interest in wanting to have positive interactions with the RCMP. This is what led to this idea for the Youth Advisory Committee.”
Yazdani added they are interested in seeing what’s important to youth locally and hearing what they can do with the RCMP to address these issues.
Interested youth are asked to email their request for an application form and submit their completed application to the F Division Community Services Mailbox. [email protected]
