15-year old dead; three others injured after rollover in western Saskatchewan

A 15-year-old boy is dead and three other teenagers injured after a single vehicle rollover yesterday in the western part of the province

Loon Lake RCMP say a van was reported to them driving at a high rate of speed on a gravel road. That van, with four people in it, ended up rolling multiple times throwing both the 15-year-old who was driving and a 15-year girl from the vehicle. The boy was declared dead at the scene while the girl was taken by STARS to Saskatoon for injuries described as serious, but not life threatening.

A 14-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl stayed inside the vehicle and were taken to Meadow Lake for injuries considered to be minor.

At this time, it is believed alcohol was not a factor.

An investigation continues.
