Heat Warnings continue for much of Sask. on Wednesday

Heat Warnings remain in effect for much of the province Wednesday morning.

That includes Swift Current, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and Prince Albert.

Highs in the 30’s combined with overnight lows of 16 or warmer will continue for most of the week.

Heat warnings are issued for maximums of 32 or more in southern Saskatchewan followed by minimums of 16 or more – for at least two consecutive days.

Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.

Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.

As of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning Regina is not included in the warning, but is expecting highs in the low to mid 30’s or high 20’s until next week.
