School divisions individually release their return-to-school plans

All 27 of Saskatchewan’s school divisions have released their plans for a safe return to school.

This comes after much criticism of the provincial government’s initial back-to-school plan released on Tuesday.

For Regina Public Schools, the school division will be installing plexi-glass screens at administrative offices and similar spaces, and will also be supplying hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray towels in each classroom. Schools will be in charge of signage for proper hand-washing and physical distancing measures.

Regina Catholic Schools is developing and providing training resources for all staff, as well as students and parents for cleaning protocols, and will be working with the Saskatchewan Health Authority to develop appropriate signage for schools.

Over the coming days, more information will be released by the provincial government so that parents and students can know what to expect when school begins again in three weeks.
