Saskatchewan records 19th COVID-19 death

The province says a person from the Regina region in their 70’s has died due to COVID-19 making them the 19th person in Saskatchewan to succumb to the virus.

The information comes as the province tells us there are 11 new cases and 31 recoveries.   Of the 11 cases, nine are in the South Central part of the province, one is in Saskatoon and the other is in the southwest with 10 of the 11 positive cases coming from hutterite colonies and brings the total amount of people to have come down with COVID-19 in Saskatchewan to 1,387.

There are 31 recoveries to report bringing the total to 1,164 with 204 cases now considered active.

Thirteen people are in hospital.  Six of those thirteen are in intensive care with four in Saskatoon, one in Regina and one in the North Central region.

954 tests were performed in Saskatchewan on Wednesday.
