Provincial Archives to reopen Monday

The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan has a new centralized home.

Located at 2440 Broad Street, the provincial archives is reopening with their public reading room on Monday.

Provincial archivist Linda McIntyre  says they are reopening with safety protocols in place due to COVID-19.

“We’ve increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols,” said McIntyre. “We have mandatory hand washing for all patrons and staff, that’s because hand sanitizer doesn’t work well with historical records, so we’re asking that patrons be hand washing before they enter our spaces in the washrooms available here.”

The Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan will be open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment only.
