Ford is recalling more than 558,000 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles in the U.S. and Canada because the brakes might not work properly.

The recall covers certain 2015 through 2018 Edge models and 2016 through 2018 Lincoln MKX vehicles.

Owners will be notified in the middle of next month and Ford dealers will replace some front brake hoses that can rupture, causing brake fluid to leak.
