Start of school pushed back in Sask; additional funding coming

Premier Scott Moe announced that the start of the 2020-21 school year will be delayed, as well as an additional $40 million in funding for necessary resources for the province’s back-to-school plan.

Premier Moe made the announcement in a video posted to his Facebook page.

In the video, Moe said school divisions would provide details on individual school plans on, or before, August 26th.

He also said that he and Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab would lay out the changes on Monday.

Moe announced that students will start school after the Labour Day weekend on September 8th.
