At around 5:35 am Friday, Southey RCMP responded to a fatal rollover on the Piapot First Nation.

Cupar EMS and STARS attended the scene and confirmed that the lone occupant, a 22-year-old female from Piapot was deceased.

Initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was travelling north on a gravel road when control of the vehicle was lost, resulting in a rollover. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle.

There were no other victims at the scene of the collision, and an investigation into what happened in ongoing.
