A fan favourite for the Regina Pats last season will be playing in the ECHL  next season.

The Kansas City Mavericks announced Tuesday they have signed 21-year-old forward Robbie Holmes to a contract.

Holmes, who is from Sherwood Park, Alberta, comes to Kansas City after a WHL career that saw him register 114 points in 231 games with the Pats and Everett Silvertips. That includes a career-best 48 points on 19 goals and 29 assists for the Pats last season.
