RCMP say the body of a 35-year-old man, who disappeared while swimming on Thursday in lake Diefenbaker, has been recovered near the Gardiner Dam.

Police recovered the man’s body around 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon about 30 metres off shore.

An autopsy will be conducted later this week.

The man’s name was not released.

The drowning is not considered suspicious at this time.
