A staff member at Indian Head Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in the school starting with online learning rather than in-class.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority notified the Prairie Valley School Division of the positive test on Saturday.
The decision to offer online learning was made due to reduced staff levels available at the school, as a number of staff considered close contacts are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
Online learning will begin September 10th, while in-class learning is set to resume on September 17th.
The school division says the positive case affects Indian Head Elementary exclusively, so other schools will start as normal.
