Moose Jaw police find cocaine, firearm after attempted vehicle stop

The Moose Jaw Police Service is investigating an incident on Thursday, September 3 when suspects fled police during an attempted vehicle stop.

Moose Jaw police shared in a release on Wednesday that the vehicle was in the downtown area when the vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed.

Later that evening, officers located the vehicle abandoned in a parking lot.

A search warrant was obtained and police searched the vehicle where they found cocaine with an approximate street value of $8,000. Police also discovered a firearm in the vehicle along with ammunition.

Moose Jaw police say no charges have been laid at this time.
