Service disruptions at Melville’s St. Peter’s Hospital happening throughout September

Those needing service from the St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville are being told of some service disruptions to the emergency department this month by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The SHA says due to a recent doctor shortage in Melville, there will be a gap in services for the E-R on September 9, 14, 19, 24 and 29.

The SHA is trying to secure a new physician for the city and says while efforts are underway to get one, it could take a while and that they are working to secure locum coverage for anticipated disruptions.

Regular services are still in place for admitted patients and outpatient Laboratory and X-Ray services.
