SK Liberal Party looking for new leader

Saskatchewan’s Liberal Party is looking for a new leader as we inch closer to a provincial election.

After serving as leader since May of 2018, Naveed Anwar is resigning.

In a statement from the party, Anwar says he wants to focus his time on social causes outside of politics.

The process to have an interim leader appointed is already underway.

While not having a seat in the provincial Legislature, the Liberals say they continue to prepare for next month’s vote including nominating candidates and sharing positive and forward-looking ideas to help Saskatchewan people, families and businesses recover and prosper within a more diversified and sustainable economy.
