A Regina man is facing second-degree murder charges after remains of a woman were found north of Edmonton last year.
Emergency crews in the community of Boyle responded to a mobile home fire on December 18. Inside that home was the body of 41 year old Melissa Lyne.
Alberta RCMP say 55-year-old Mario Bernier has been charged with second-degree murder, arson and indignity to human remains.
Bernier has been remanded into custody after a hearing and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday in Fort Saskatchewan.
