Man injured in two-vehicle collision in southeast Regina

Regina police say a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon resulted in injuries for one of the drivers.

The Regina Police Service received a call at 12:35 p.m. about an accident at the intersection of University Park Drive and Arcola Avenue.

A spokesperson with the Regina Police Service said a white Mazda car and a blue and silver antique Chevrolet car collided in the intersection. The Mazda hatchback was driven by a woman and the Chevrolet car was driven by a man.

Traffic was re-routed after police closed off the westbound lanes on Arcola Avenue and the southbound lanes on University Park Drive to investigate the collision. Officers opened the road at 4:55 p.m.

While not all reports have come through, the spokesperson shared the man was taken to hospital to be treated for what officers at the scene described are “relatively serious injuries”.

No charges have been handed yet as the investigation continues.
