SARM welcomes 16.5 million dollars for rural road repairs

The Saskatchewan government says road improvements are coming to 55 rural municipalities across the province.

The Moe government is providing over 16 million dollars in funding from the 2-year infrastructure stimulus plan.

The funding is part of a 3 year plan with SARM to improve 100 rural municipal roads through the roads for growth program.

SARM president Ray Orb says infrastructure is fundamental to the movement of goods and services.

Orb says there are over 14 hundred bridges and culverts across the province and repairs are extremely important for future growth.
