Regina man arrested on firearms charges

Regina police have laid charges after a man was seen with a gun in a vehicle on Friday morning.

Police received the report just before 7:00 a.m. on Friday and were sent to the 1100 block of Rae Street. When officers arrived, they found a lone man entering a vehicle that fit the description in the report.

Regina police arrested the suspect, and a search revealed a firearm and ammunition. The man was also in violation of a prohibition order to not possess firearms or ammunition.

26-year-old Kevin Albert Quewezance of Regina faces multiple charges including possession of a weapon and careless storage of a weapon.

He makes his first court appearance on these charges on Monday morning.
