Regina student hoping to make online learning more accessible for people in need

A Grade 11 student at Regina Christian School is hoping to help children with their online learning during the pandemic with her Laptops for Kids program.

Emily McCreery will collect donations of laptops or iPads and then give them to community organizations who decide what child receives a device for their remote learning.

McCreery describes what inspired her to start this.

“Once Covid hit, and then schools and students were leaning towards online learning, I saw that there was a great need that there are kids in the city of Regina that don’t have access to a laptop at home to do the eSchool or the online learning,” said  McCreery.

Those interested in donating a laptop or iPad to the cause can do so by visiting the Laptops for Kids Facebook page.
