Three-term Regina Public School Board trustee and current chair Katherine Gagne, is pursuing a seat at city hall to represent Ward 9.

The ward, which covers the city’s northwest is currently occupied by Jason Mancinelli, who is in his first term.

“Having served three terms as a Trustee and Chairman of the Regina Public School Board, I have learned how important it is for all levels of government to work together. Citizens are not well-served when governments make decisions independent of each other. In these unprecedented days, we need to ensure the people of Regina are supported by every level of government and that we put Regina people first,” Gagne said in a news release.

Gagne spent 11 years on the school board, eight of them as chairman.

Regina heads to the polls November 9th.
