Aaron Pritchett, George Canyon take the stage for “A Night with STARS”

Reginans had the chance to take in another unique drive-in style concert Saturday, this time featuring Canadian Country Music stars Aaron Pritchett and George Canyon.

The concert was an adaptation of the annual “A Night with STARS” event that usually is held at a gala, but due to COVID-19 the event was made a concert. All proceeds from the two shows were donated to STARS Air Ambulance.

Aaron Pritchett says it was nice to finally get back on stage, and even better to support a great cause.

“It’s unreal the feeling you get on stage, it’s so electric, but coming back to Regina, I missed Regina obviously,” said Pritchett. “What a great way to be coming back to the city to play for people in their cars honking away like they were honking tonight. It was pretty crazy.”

Pritchett says participating in the event was a no-brainer as he knows the importance of STARS, especially in the Prairies.

“Obviously, STARS is a very important cause around here in the Prairies, I’m from B.C., but I still know people who have had to use STARS,” said Pritchett. “I understand what they do, and they’re a very integral part of the Prairies. I’m glad to be helping raise some money for them.”

The annual STARS gala is one of the biggest fundraisers in Saskatchewan, and has brought in over $1 million over the past seven years.
