Kindersley RCMP seize large amounts of cocaine and cannabis in two investigations this week

Over 100 pounds of cannabis and nearly a kilogram of cocaine has been seized by RCMP near Kindersley after a couple of incidents this week.

On Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 PM, RCMP stopped a vehicle on Highway #7 west of Kindersley for a license and registration check.

The responding officer made several observations during the stop check, which resulted in the arrest of the man driving the truck. The suspect was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle discovered five large garbage bags with roughly 99 pounds of cannabis.

34 year-old Clinton Senko of Saskatoon has been charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution, and will appear in court on December 15th.

Then on Wednesday afternoon, Kindersley RCMP stopped a car on Highway #7 for speeding.

That resulted in a 33 year-old man also being arrested, after a police service dog was deployed on the suspect vehicle. A search found 850 grams of cocaine and seven pounds of cannabis.

33 year-old Matthew Davey of Strathmore, Alberta has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution. Davey will also appear in court on December 15.
