NLL making plans for 2021 season

If all goes well, the National Lacrosse League will be starting next season in April.

On Wednesday, the league said it is looking at the April 9th weekend to begin play.  The league usually starts in December or January.

Training camps would begin in March.  It is not known at this time how many games would be played in the season.

In a release, the league says it is looking at several scenarios to deal with regional and federal restrictions that are in place.

Besides the Saskatchewan Rush, there are four other Canadian teams and eight American teams.

The NLL suspended last season in March and eventually cancelled it with no champion being declared.
