Canora RCMP say Highway 9 is reopened to traffic and lanes are no longer blocked.

Highway 9 near Canora has been closed after a serious motor vehicle collision approximately eight kilometres north of the community.

RCMP and EMS are at the scene of the accident with police blocking the highway in both directions. There is no timeline for how long the road will be blocked.

RCMP are directing motorists to use alternate routes at this time, if possible, and to slow down to 50 km/h when passing emergency vehicles.
