There are 78 new COVID-19 cases to report Saturday in Saskatchewan.
Outbreaks in Saskatoon continue to drive the numbers up in Saskatchewan, with 41 new cases coming from the Saskatoon region. Regina is reporting 18 new cases Saturday as well.
The remaining jurisdictions reporting cases include the north central (seven), the north east (six), the north west (three) and the far north west (two) zones.
A total of 2,720 COVID-19 tests were conducted Friday in Saskatchewan.
Despite the high number o cases being reported Saturday, the active case count is going down, after 81 people have recovered. The active case count is now down to 739.
Twenty-nine people are in hospital, with eight patients in Saskatoon, six in the north central, six in Regina, two in the north west, and one in the north east are all receiving inpatient care. There are six patients receiving care in an ICU: Four in Saskatoon, one in the north central and one in Regina.
The provincial government continues to call on residents to be safe while celebrating the Halloween weekend. The province is reminding adults to avoid hosting or attending gatherings that exceed the public health order of 15 people in a household. This comes after Moose Jaw Police issued a $2800 fine to a home owner in Moose Jaw for an event that violated the public health guidelines.
