Halloween is going ahead despite COVID-19 and while it will look a little different, you can expect little ghosts and goblins roaming the streets Saturday night looking for candy.
Some of those little ghosts and goblins will end up at the home of Rob and Kellie McWhinnie on Victoria Avenue, just west of downtown. As they have every year for the past few years, the two have decorated their front yard to add some more spirit to the night.
Kellie, who says this is her favourite time of year, says with COVID-19, there will be a little different mode for kids to get their haul thanks to Rob.
`You don`t want kids to be coming up the walk because of social distancing, we have made a chute to slide candy down with Rob making an arm for handing out that candy.
Those coming can expect the front yard to look like a cemetary with actual epitaphs, witches, spider webs and other things you would associate with Halloween that they have been busy working on for the past couple of days.
Over the past number of years, the McWhinnie`s have had a favourable response from all and Kellie is expecting the same this year despite the different circumstances.
