The play structure at LM Hanna Elementary School in the city’s north end has been severely damaged by a fire.
The Regina Fire Department got a call to attend to the school just after 9:30 last nite. Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed in flames and was quickly extinguished.
We are devastated at what happened to our play structure last night. Thank you to all in the community (and beyond) for sharing their condolences. #tigerstrong

Fundraising has already started to try and replace what has been lost with one of the parents starting a GoFundMe page. The goal is set at $85,000.
Regina police say they have taken two girls, aged 12 and 13, into custody and have charged them with arson.
