At least one Saskatchewan city is postponing its civic election after the weekend snowstorm that hit the province.
Swift Current officials let it be known around 10:30 Monday morning that there would be no voting due to the cleanup the city has in front of it after a substantial snowfall hit making it difficult to travel both inside and outside the city.
The decision came after a Ministerial Order was signed by Government Relations Minister Lori Carr allowing each municipality’s appointed returning officer to postpone the elections.
BREAKING NEWS: The Swift Current municipal and school board elections have been moved to Thursday, November 12 to allow voters safe access to Polling Stations. All polls are closed today.

While Saskatoon is seeing the weather from this weekend create problems, they are going ahead with the vote as is Regina.
