CN Rail is prepared for winter rail movement of grain to port.

CN rail reported a record movement of 3.27 million tons of grain in October.

CN executive vice president Sean Finn says the railway has been setting monthly grain export records for much of 2020.

He says CN is well prepared for winter weather with equipment in place.

He says there is resilience in the system so CN can recover quickly from a bad cold week.

Finn says CN is in the process of acquiring 1,500 grain hopper cars with 500 by year end and the remainder early in the new year.
