A man who had no problem in analyzing provincial elections and was considered to be one of the top political studies professor in Saskatchewan and perhaps the country has died after a battle with cancer.
Joe Garcea died at the age of 64 with his death being announced by the University of Saskatchewan Thursday.

Many connected to Garcea have been paying tribute to the man with the University saying you could not hope for a better colleague and friend and that he will be sorely missed.
He was honoured with the Master Teacher Award at the U of S in 2018. That is the highest teaching honour at the school
