Reward of up to 10 thousand dollars offered to stop illegal shooting of livestock

The Saskatchewan Stock Growers have partnered with Sask Tip and the Wildlife Federation to offer a reward for anyone convicted of illegally shooting livestock.

Stock Growers general manager Chad McPherson says a reward of up to 10 thousand dollars is being offered to help stop illegal shooting of livestock.

McPherson says there was a handful of illegal shooting of livestock last fall and again this fall with incidents in the southeast at Alameda and in the northwest at Goodsoil and at Senlac.

McPherson says some of the farm animals were shot out of hunting season and appear to be criminal in nature and a type of vandalism and destruction of property.
