Regina police have arrested a man in connection to a stolen Audi located Sunday night multiple times in the same area.
After a failed attempt at a traffic stop, police deployed a spike belt on the Audi in an attempt to stop the vehicle, proving to only partially be effective. The vehicle continued driving erratically, and a police pursuit was called off due to safety reasons.
Finally, the stolen vehicle was located on Highway #1 westbound, pulled over. Canine units were able to locate the suspect a short distance away in a grain storage bin, and arrested him without incident.
27-year-old Chase Badham of Canora faces five charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession of a weapon.
Badham appeared in court Monday afternoon.
