A 43 year-old Churchbridge man has died after a collision with a semi at the intersection of Highways #16 and #9 just south of Yorkton.

At around 5:00 PM on Monday evening, a southbound car collided with the rear-trailer of a westbound semi.

The driver of the car passed away while being transported to hospital, and a 42 year-old woman who was also in the care sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital in Regina.

The 67 year-old man driving the semi did not suffer any physical injuries.

The investigation remains underway. No charges have been laid at this time.
