Regina Police make arrest in impaired driving accident in city’s east end

A Regina woman is facing impaired driving charges after a collision at the corner of Prince of Wales Drive and Victoria Avenue Saturday night.

Police were called to the scene at about 10:30 PM, where police located a white Honda Civic and a black Chevrolet Malibu, with preliminary investigation revealing the westbound Civic and a southbound Malibu collided in the intersection.

A 23-year-old woman riding in the Civic also sustained injuries and was taken to hospital. The 22-year-old woman driving the Civic was not injured. A 25-year-old man in the Malibu was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the 23 year-old woman driving was not injured, but was taken into custody, and later charged.

23-year-old Aisha LaRose is charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and exceeding .08. She will appear in court again on Dec. 22.
